Help save pets like Etty

Etty was found as a stray, suffering from a broken leg and left to fend for herself.

Help more pets like Etty on the road to recovery this Spring

We were there to give Etty much needed medical treatment and our vets were able to save her leg. But this was just the beginning of her long road to recovery. Etty found kennels very distressing and so was placed in a foster home, where she could receive lots of extra care and attention to help her get back on her paws.. Thanks to the kindness of people like you, we were able to find Etty the loving forever home she deserves. Help more pets find their loving forever home.

£45 could cover the cost of x-rays to make sure pets like Etty receive the right treatment.

£8 a month could pay for a pet's essential first vaccinations before they're rehomed.

Happy and healthy

After such a major operation, she needed a home with people who understood her needs. She couldn’t be left alone, and they would need the patience to work on this with her gradually. And it had to be a home full of people who could dote on her, because she thrived on companionship. Giving pets like Etty the medical treatment they need can be expensive. After everything she’d been through, we were delighted when we found someone who was able to offer a loving home suited to her needs. Since then, we’ve heard that she’s settling in extremely well. It’s heartwarming to see how far she’s come since being found homeless, frightened, and barely able to walk.

Why support Woodgreen?

Ever since we first opened our doors in north London in 1924, we’ve been transforming pets’ lives – and through them, the lives of owners. From those humble beginnings we’ve grown into one of the UK’s largest pet charities and our Godmanchester base is one of the largest animal rehoming centres in Europe.

Last year we cared for 4,269 dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits and rodents in our centre. And alongside our animal care and rehoming, we helped thousands of pet owners with advice, support and training so they can give their pet everything they need.
