Can I be left alone?

No

Barney really struggles being left home on his own and his training will need starting again. His new owners would benefit from getting a camera to watch him and build this up very slowly, ensuring he is comfortable at all times.

Barney is not to live with any other animals. He is receiving training around other dogs and is not to meet them currently.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Barney would like to live in an adult only household with no young visiting children. He is conflicted in many of his daily emotions including meeting people. Some strangers he is friendly towards and can be over the top, other he can be worried by and shy away.

He is used to sleeping in the owners bedroom at night and to be allowed on the sofa.

What type of environment would suit me?

Barney becomes stressed and overwhelmed easily and doesn't cope in an area where he will see/hear lots of new things and sudden noises. He is looking to live in a quiet area where he can start to relax and enjoy life where lots of dogs can be easily avoided. Must have his own private, 6ft fenced garden to burn off some steam and engage in some brain games. No neighbouring dogs please.

He has also chased cars in the past and must be walked in areas where busy roads can be avoided.

About Barney

Barney has found his way to us for a variety of reasons but with a training minded and patient family, he will show his true potential and new owners will be able to watch him shine. Our team love his zest for life and energy, he's always up for a new challenge or game and with a little support and guidance thrives! They also love his cute curls- he is super handsome! Once he knows you he is a real sweetie who loves a cuddle. He loves to play fetch and is up for playing any game on offer.
