Support and Health

How much training will I need?

Ongoing support

Maisie has ongoing training needs in multiple areas, including behaviour around strangers and other dogs so a training minded family who can help her on her journey would be ideal.

Can I be left alone?

Yes

Maisie has previously coped well with being left home alone for several hours with full access to downstairs. If given the appropriate time to settle into a new home and have home alone time built up gradually, she will hopefully be ok with this again.

Do I have any medical conditions?

None

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

No

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

No

Additional information

Maisie is reactive towards other dogs as she is scared of them. She has been having training to help her with this which new owners will need to continue and is doing really well. Now when she sees a dog, she will look to her handler for a tasty treat instead of barking. Maisie has a very high chase drive and won't be suitable to live with other small furry pets.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Maisie is looking for an adult only household with minimal visitors and no visiting children. She can be wary of new people and must be allowed to say hi and make friends in her own time.

What type of environment would suit me?

Maisie would prefer walking in quiet areas, where she can easily avoid dogs and crowded people areas such as, high streets and city centres. She would love her own private garden to have run around in as she will need to remain on a lead for her walks.

About Maisie

This gorgeous lady is Maisie. She was originally from Romania and is now looking for her forever loving home. She's very sweet and affectionate once she gets to know you, but can take a bit of time to feel comfortable with new people. She's hoping to find a new family who can help her to learn that the world doesn't have to be scary, playing with toys is fun and provide her with a comfy bed to snooze away in!

Things to note

Potential new owners will need to be prepared to visit Maisie multiple times before taking her home to help build a bond with her.
