Additional information

Oscar is under socialised with other dogs and does not like them in his space. He is best walked in areas that are quiet and at times when you will not see too many dogs. Whilst he mostly ignores them, he does not want them running up to him and trying to play with him. He has a high chase drive around smaller animals and will not be suitable to live with them.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Oscar can live with teenagers and over and would be better suited to a home with no young visiting children. He can be quite worried by particular parts of his body being touched and will hide if things get a bit noisy.

What type of environment would suit me?

Oscar would love his own private garden to charge around and sunbathe in. He would suit a quieter home as he can be quite sensitive to sounds, in particular raised voices.

About Oscar

Oscar is a gorgeous Staffie who is desperate for his forever home. He doesn't like kennel life and is very much looking forward to meeting his new family. He loves his tennis balls but you do have to always play with two as he can be reluctant to let go and share. He loves to be around his people and will make a lovely companion as he is never too far away!

Things to note

Oscars fosterers love him and this is what they have to say about him.

Oscar is the perfect mix of playful and snoozy. He is the best pet to have whilst working from home as he loves to be in whatever room you're in to keep you company but is very happy staring out the window watching the world go by whilst you get on with your work. If you move rooms to go on lunch or to work from the sofa, he'll follow you and nuzzle up next to you. He's a great colleague.

I feel that we, as fosterers, have laid down some great roots in his behavioural training and when he goes to his forever home he'll be able to build on this. He's great with tricks such as "find it" in the garden and loves to play with his tennis balls.

Finally, when you're done with a long day he's always on his best behaviour when you just want to slump down and watch TV. He's the perfect companion to curl up with on the sofa. He'll find the best position to be next to you and allow you to stroke his soft fur.

I'll definitely miss him when he moves on to his forever home but I know he can make a family extremely happy.
