Can I live with dogs?

Can I live with cats?

Can I live with small pets?

Additional information

There can be other pets in the home but the mouse enclosure will need to be in a room that can be shut off from any cats or dogs.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Mice can make lovely first-time pets for children who can offer a calm, patient and confident approach. They enjoy coming out to be handled and will take treats from your hands.

What type of environment would suit me?

This pair have has skin issues previously, so they will need to go to a home where the bedding used in the cage is towels or blankets, as any other bedding type is likely to lead to further skin issues. A group of 2-4 mice will need a cage measuring at least 80cm wide by 50cm deep by 35cm high, with bar spacing of no more than 6mm. This will provide them with space for you to add lots of activities for them to climb and explore, as well as giving them enough floor space to do lots of running around on and bedding that they can dig and forage in. Although they are small, they are very busy and energetic.

About Stikkit

Stikkit and Snirk are a pair of castrated males who are both looking for their forever home together. They love to snuggle up with one another in their favourite comfy house and like having lots of toys to climb over and explore. When they are out of their cage, they will happily sit or walk around on your hands or arms. If you can offer this pair the home they are looking for, please complete our online registration form below.
