Meet the stars of The Dog House

Four legs and two - meet the dogs we've helped at Wood Green, and the humans getting them back on their paws.

Wood Green is open to unwanted and homeless pets 365 days a year. We’re seeing more and more pets who need urgent surgery or lengthy training and rehabilitation. Please support our work today.

Say hello to the pets we help

Every animal arrives at Wood Green because someone could no longer look after them, or because they were found abandoned or stray. Big, small, pedigree or pooch, we’ll make sure they’re fit and well thanks to our onsite veterinary team and surgery. And if they’re shy, angry or scared, we’ll help them get used to people again and what life in a home feels and sounds like.

Only once we’re sure a pet is ready for another home will we start to find them a new family. Sometimes it’s love at first sight. Sometimes it takes a while. But we’re always here until we find a home for our guests.

Dennis the cocker spaniel being examined by a vet

Please help homeless pets in need

Pets like Dennis. When he arrived with us, he was missing much of his fur, sore and in pain, covered in fleas and mites. After being treated by our vet Dennis' fur started to grow back, and now he's thriving and in a new, loving home. We help around 80 homeless pets every week - help us give them the care and special attention they need.
£36 covers the cost of x-rays for a dog's legs, to help confirm a limp isn't a fracture or worse.
£10 a month helps cover flea treatments for mistreated puppies when they arrive
