We're the home of The Dog House

Since 2019, The Dog House has been capturing hearts across the nation. It’s a wonderful way of showing how our teams turn dogs’ lives around. And we couldn’t be more proud!

This wildly successful series follows our four-legged friends’ search for their perfect match, and it’s always an emotional rollercoaster. From heartbreaking backstories to happy endings, there’s never a dull moment.

But behind every success story is a team of passionate people at Woodgreen working to turn a pet’s life around. And, as a new series is unleashed, we’re excited for them to be in the spotlight once again.

Meet the dogs

Only a tiny part of each dog’s story is shown on camera. Go behind the scenes to find out more about their journey through Woodgreen and into a new home.

Meet the matchers

Armed with compassion, intuition and decades of experience, our expert matchmakers sometimes know what people need even better than they do.

Helen: Pet matching officer

“So many people come to us with a real need for a dog. Our dogs have often had a difficult start in life, so being able to help them find their perfect match makes this job, with its rollercoaster of emotions, incredibly worthwhile.”

“Dogs are always there to put a smile on my face – they don’t care what I wear or if I’m having a bad hair day. I’ve worked at Woodgreen for more than 30 years but there’s never a dull moment.”

Lizzie: Pet matching officer

“Even when I’m having a tough time, dogs always have the power to make me smile. I love knowing that every day I am making a difference by bringing dogs and new owners together. Every match is special in its own way.”

Aside from our matchers, there’s the hero handlers who care for each dog before they find their happy ending.
